Thomas R. Kaplan

Thomas R. Kaplan is a principal and a member of the Executive Committee of National Group Benefits LLC. (NGB). The Boca Raton, Florida based firm specializes in the design and implementation of corporate group benefits including: health care insurance; disability, dental, vision and long term care insurance; life insurance; pension plans and executive plans.

He also serves as President of Kaplan, Krauss & Levine, LLC, Family Wealth Advisors, an affiliated firm of NGB, a Financial and Estate Planning, Life Insurance, Annuities and Family Wealth Counseling organization. With 35 years of professional business experience he is nationally recognized for his expertise pertaining to life insurance, financial, tax, marketing and strategic planning issues.

His client relationships include:
Physicians, Attorneys, CPA’s & Financial Consultants, Owners of closely held businesses, Corporate Executives, Real Estate Developers, and numerous other national and international corporations.

In the spring of 2005 he was featured on the cover of “Partner magazine.” His articles and columns have been published in numerous regional and national publications. He also co-authored the book Getting to the Heart of the Matter, a Revolution in Estate Planning. He is a member of the Forum 400, the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and a founding member of The International Association of Advisors in Philanthropy. He is also a past life member of the prestigious Million Dollar Roundtable – “Top of the Table” – an organization of the top insurance professionals in the world

Mr. Kaplan has received numerous awards and recognition. He currently serves as Immediate Past President of the Lincoln Financial- Premier Partner Advisory Council, an organization representing over 8,000 financial advisors. He is the recipient of the 2007 United Jewish Communities Leadership Endowment Achievement Award. He is listed as a member in the National Registrars’ Who’s Who in Executive’s and Professionals. In the fall of 1994, he was named an “Up and Comer” by Price Waterhouse and South Florida Magazine. He is a past recipient of the Jewish National Funds’ prestigious “Shalom” Award.

Mr. Kaplan received his Bachelors of Science Degree from Boston University and a Master of Business Administration from the Katz School of Business at The University of Pittsburgh.

As a community activist, Mr. Kaplan is the immediate Past President of the Adolph and Rose Levis Jewish Community Center. He is also the immediate past Chairman of The Jewish Community Foundation and serves as a member of the Executive Committee of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County. He also serves on the Professional Advisory Board of the Boca Raton Regional Hospital and the regional Board of Directors of the Anti-Defamation League. His additional activities include past or current Board or Officer Positions with the Enterprise Ambassador program, Temple Beth El, The Jewish National Fund, Israel Bonds, Florida Philharmonic, and numerous other professional, community and civic organizations.

Mr. Kaplan is a nationally recognized speaker and has served as a guest lecturer at various colleges and universities on a variety of business and financial issues.

A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he has lived in Florida for over 30 years. Mr. Kaplan resides in Delray Beach with his wife and two daughters.

Daniel J. Levine, JD

Daniel J. Levine is a principal and member of the Executive Committee of National Group Benefits, LLC (NGB). Mr. Levine formerly practiced law as an estate planning attorney. He has worked with successful business owners and wealthy families in an advisory and legal role for the past twelve years. He has been credited by numerous companies and their professional advisors for his creativity in designing and implementing programs that have made significant financial impact to their companies.

Mr. Levine is a graduate of the University of Miami where he earned both a Bachelor of Science Degree with Honors and a Master’s of Science Degree. While at the University, he was a member of the 1991 National Championship Miami Hurricanes Football Team. He then went on and received his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from Rutgers Law School in 1997.

While practicing law prior to joining National Group Benefits, LLC (NGB), Mr. Levine has represented clients in New York, New Jersey and Florida. Mr. Levine was invited to join and is now a member of the elite organization, “The International Forum,” whose members are the top advisors and insurance professionals in the world.

Mr. Levine serves on the Professional Advisory Committee of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County. He is a Board Member of the Federation’s Metro Division, as well as a member of the UJC Young Leadership Cabinet. Mr. Levine is a Chair of the University of Miami’s Citizen Board and is a founding member of the University’s Professional Advisory Committee for the Estate and Planned Giving department. Previously Mr. Levine served in a leadership role for the University’s “Hurricane Club.” He is a member of MENSA, and was a graduation speaker with the D.A.R.E programs, mentored young athletes and assisted in numerous civic and philanthropic endeavors.

Mr. Levine resides in Boca Raton, Florida with his two young children.

Jeffrey D. Krauss

Jeffrey D. Krauss is a principal and member of the Executive Committee of National Group Benefits, LLC (NGB). He has over 40 years of experience in the field of Group Insurance and Employee Benefits. Prior to forming NGB, he was the owner and CEO of Group Plan Administrators, Inc, one of New York’s leading group insurance marketing organizations with over 10,000 group accounts. He also owned Group Benefit Administrators, Inc., a firm specializing in the design, implementation and administration of Self Funded Group Plans for large corporations, unions and non-profit organizations. In 1997, he sold these firms to a publicly traded corporation.

Mr. Krauss is a graduate of New York University with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. After graduation, he studied law at New York Law School. During his professional career, he has obtained numerous degrees and designations including:

  • Registered Health Underwriter (RHU)
  • Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC)
  • Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU)
  • Accredited Estate Planner (AEP)

He has lectured nationally on such diverse topics as Group Insurance, Employee Benefit Planning, Executive Compensation and Voluntary Work Sight Benefits. His articles have appeared in numerous Professional Journals and his views have been reported in the New York Times, The National Underwriter and the Congressional Federal Register.

He has served on the Board of Directors of both the Palm Beach County and New York Society of Financial Service Professional. He is a past president of the New York Organization.

Mr. Krauss has served on the Advisory Boards of 9 different Insurance companies. He is past recipient of The Torch of Liberty Award and The Israel Medal of Peace. In addition, he has been listed in both “Who’s Who in Finance & Industry” as well as “Who’s Who in America”.

Mr. Krauss & his wife reside in Palm Beach County.
